Start at the bridge in Ballyconnell (opposite the shopping centre) and walk along the path to the right of the Woodford River. The river is navigable by cruiser and links the Rivers Erne and Shannon. The canal was opened in 1994 and is a very popular route for cruisers. The walk brings you along the river until reaching Annagh Woods. The path loops through the woods before re-emerging further downstream on the river path. There are good fishing points along the river along with many varieties of bird and plant life.
