Though its claim to fame is the dozen or so kinds of toast on offer, this intimate diner just north of the Gay Village serves a breakfast that goes well beyond gimmickry. Choices range from traditional bacon and eggs to a superior Eggs Benedict, and the accompanying touches get your day off to an even better start: excellent coffee, fresh fruit and friendly service. It is particularly affecting in winter, when the tightly packed tables and enticing aromas steam up the windows.
