Thangal Para is also called as Thangal hill.It is one of the chief attractive places in Vagamon of Idukki district.The major festival in this Durgah is Urs festival. It is celebrated in the month of April.The major offering during the festival time to devotees is Ganjusakkar. Some time you would feel like traveling through chambal areas. The unique rock formation, sacred to the Muslims located in the Thangal hill. Near the rock formation lies the tomb (durgah) of Sheikh Fariduddin, a Sufi saint from Afghanistan who lived and died here about 800 years ago.
