It doesn't have the most eye-catching ambience, but Sacho serves some of the best cuisine in Castro, a fact clearly evident by the throngs of locals who patronize the restaurant daily. The upstairs dining room has large windows and a view of the water. The specialty here is seafood, and they serve the cheapest abalone locos I've seen anywhere in Chile. Try starting off with a plate of clams Sacho raw, steamed, or broiled, and served with onion, lemon, whiskey, and Parmesan; then follow it up with a cancato. Typically the only fish served here is congrio (conger eel) and salmon, but they do have hake and sea bass from December to March.
