Accessible only via private transport or taxi, the five-storey Permas Point stands right smack in the middle of Permas Jaya, a rapidly developing township. It first opened in early 1996 and commands 8,361 square meters of retail space. The arcade offers a bowling alley, a supermarket, a cineplex, an entertainment center, alfresco and indoor dining and a multitude of shops. Although somewhat run-of-the-mill, the attractions prove popular amongst teens and courting couples. Prices gravitate towards the cheaper end of the scale, to cater to the surrounding inhabitants.
