Located in the town of Patra, this football stadium has a seating capacity of 21,000. The General Secretariat of Sports conducted a massive renovation project at the stadium for the Athens Olympic games. It played host to most of the Football preliminary round matches at the games. The quarterfinal match between giants Argentina and Costa Rica was a real crowd-puller at the stadium.
