Pachta Palace in Celetná Street No. 36 | One of the three Prague Pachta Palaces is in Celetná Street 36. It was originally a patrician house of the Velflovic family, acquired in 1400 by Václav IV. In 1420, Old Town established a mint here, rebuilt according to a project of Jan Josef Wirch by František Josef Count Pachta, the supreme coin master. In 1755, the mint was rebuilt into its current appearance by Filip Heger; at that time, it was the seat of the Prague military headquarters. The balcony of the palace is decorated with sculptures of miners and soldiers by Ignác František Platzer. In the beginning of the 1848 June revolution, this was the place of the first encounters between Prague citizens and the Windischgrätz army.At present, the object serves as a court building.
