The first floor of our premises in Chapelizod consists of a self contained fully wheelchair accessible apartment which is available for short term breaks for members of the public who experience mobility difficulties. The purpose of the apartment is to provide independent accessible accommodation to people with physical disabilities who may wish to book the apartment for a wide range of reasons such as travelling to Dublin to attend a clinic or hospital appointment, go to a show or a concert or simply stay for a short break while catching up with friends and family. The apartment is also an ideal base from which to explore Dublin and the greater Leinster area. MDI asks for a minimum contribution of €25.00 per room per night. The “Home from Home” self catering apartment as it is known, consists of a four bedroom apartment. Three of the four bedrooms have ceiling track hoists and two bedrooms are en-suite. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area. The “Home from Home” Apartment is a self catering facility. The kitchen is fully stocked with a range of equipment and everything you will need for an enjoyable stay.Extra bed linen is provided in each bedroom. All beds are hi-lo electric profile beds. Bedrooms 1, 2 & 3 and all bathrooms are equipped with ceiling track hoists. All our bedrooms come with a flat screen TV, DVD player and satellite television.LoungeThe lounge area has 2 sofas, an easy reading chair and multi channel satellite television and DVD player.KitchenThe kitchen is equipped with an adjustable motorised worktop which enables the work surface height to be adapted to a suitable level for all users. The kitchen contains all modern appliances including a kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, microwave oven, blender, electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Milk, sugar, tea, coffee, salt & pepper are also provided.Bedrooms 1 and 3Each of these rooms contain two Hi-Lo electric single beds and a ceiling track hoist. Both rooms are en-suite and the bathroom and shower can be accessed directly by using inter-connecting ceiling track hoists. Bedroom 1 also contains a sofa-bed.Bedroom 2This bedroom is complete with a king sized Hi-Lo electric bed and a ceiling track hoist. The room is not en-suite, however there is a fully wheelchair accessible shower and bathroom across the hallway from this bedroom, which can also be accessed directly by using an inter-connecting ceiling track hoist. Bedroom 4This is an un-adapted single bedroom suitable for a Personal Assistant, carer or family member. There is an inter-connecting door between this room and Bedroom 3. Bed linen (sheets, duvets & pillows) is provided in each bedroom; however we do not provide towels.
