Gee Gong Restaurant is hiding just off Center Street, on the edge of Calgary's Chinatown. Décor is not their strongest point, but the food and friendly staff definitely make up for it. They offer chicken, shrimp and seafood dishes as well as BBQ meat at very reasonable prices. The no-frills hot pots are popular; choose beef and bean curd or squid and oyster. Be aware they might have trouble digging up an alcoholic beverage, the bar choices are limited.
