A Montreal landmark since Expo '67, this restaurant manages to maintain its French bistro atmosphere within a high-ceilinged space with brightly lit artificial trees. The service is friendly, from the maitre d' down to the water boy. The food is also typically bistro: straightforward and packed with old standard classics such as Vichysoisse and pan-fried entrecôte with green peppercorn sauce. The wine list is short but sweet.
