Cahersiveen is an extremely popular angling center with light-line and open-boat competitions held throughout the summer. This international competition attracts numerous outstanding competitors from far and wide. Competition can be stiff, but it is always in the friendliest of spirits, displaying the generous nature typical of Cahersiveen. In addition to the sport, there is a great social atmosphere during the two days both on and off the water.
