This is an amazing old Roman fort built in the top of some really neat looking rock formations located in the Stara Planina or Old Mountain range of Bulgaria. The drive from Sofia is beautiful taking you through some very underdeveloped parts of the country on surprisingly (for Bulgaria) well developed/maintained roads.
