Woodland may be home to agriculture, historic streets, the Sacramento River Train , and the Heidrick Ag History Museum, but its most unique sight by far is Reiff’s Gas Station House . The Gas Station House is not truly a gas station, but a replica and home to Mark Reiff, a collector and appreciator of the bygone era of the 1950s. From the décor to the fabulous car culture, he leaves nothing out. The house itself pays tribute to an era of drive-in movies, 50’s diners, blue jeans, and poodle skirts, as well as the overall innocence of an all-American epoch. The details of this impressive collection come from the memories of Mark Rieff, and he has done an impeccable job reconstructing the past. Mark's garage is lined with antique pumps in a variety of shapes and sizes, including a model that dates back to 1914. Mark remodeled his front lawn to look like a real gas station complete with an authentic diner; he also created a general store in the foyer and added half of a real car through the front fence. Although the Gas Station House has become an attraction, it is still first and foremost a residence. Yet somehow Mark is unopposed to giving tours .
